Yes, you can learn on either automatic or manual with us. In fact, the difference between the two is the very first thing we teach in your first class. Many students learn manual first because it lets you drive anything afterwards, but the choice is yours.

How do I get a learner’s permit in Nigeria, and how much does it cost?

What is an FRSC driving school certificate, and do I really need it?

Yes, you need it. The Federal Road Safety Corps requires proof that you trained at an accredited driving school before you can get a driver’s licence. Our certificate costs 5,000 Naira, it is FRSC recognised and government approved, and it is the document you present when you apply for your licence.

How do I get my driver’s licence after driving school?

Finish your training, collect your FRSC recognised certificate from us, then use that certificate to apply for your driver’s licence. We walk every student through the steps, and our guided CBT based test prepares you for the process before you go.

What age can I start learning to drive in Nigeria?

You can start learning to drive with us at 18, which is the minimum age for a driver’s licence in Nigeria. Many of our students begin their lessons right around their 18th birthday so their certificate is ready the moment they can apply.

Do you have weekend driving classes?

Yes. Our weekend course runs exclusively on Saturdays and Sundays, costs 40,000 Naira, and gives you 8 lessons. It is built for people who work or study during the week.

I am nervous about driving. Will the instructor shout at me?

How many driving lessons do I need as a beginner?

Most beginners need between 8 and 16 lessons. Our two week course has 8 lessons, and the full month course has 16. After your first lesson your instructor will give you an honest estimate for you personally, because everybody is different.

What should I bring to my first driving lesson?

Just bring yourself, comfortable flat shoes, and your learner’s permit if you already have one. If you do not have a permit yet, no wahala, we can process it for you for 2,000 Naira. Everything else, including the car and teaching materials, is on us.

Is Olu K Driving School approved by the government?
